MEDITATION THOUGHT 24 II
ARTIST | Loren YagodaLoren Yagoda grew up surrounded by art in a family of collectors, designers, and Architects. Her unique consistency of neutral colors, combined with her expressive, thick black or white brushwork, exhibits an architectonic quality open to interpretive discussion. She received her BFA from Memphis college of Art. Yagoda lives and works in Phoenix, Arizona.
DETAILLoren Yagoda's diptych offers a moment of meditation, a means by which to cultivate silence. Sculptural layers of paint are woven like a tapestry. A subtle repetition of marks accumulates like a mantra, primal rhythms and textures offering, in the artist's words, "a peek into the nothingness behind everything."
